POSITION SUMMARY
The Interim LPN Coordinator serves as a key operational leader within the nursing department of a long-term care facility. This role bridges clinical care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and administrative duties while providing coverage and support during periods of transition. The LPN Coordinator works directly with the DON and facility leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain quality standards, and support the nursing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee daily clinical operations and coordinate nursing activities across shifts
• Manage nursing staff schedules and handle shift coverage gaps
• Monitor licensure and credential compliance for nursing staff
• Respond to clinical concerns and coordinate problem-solving with nursing staff
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements for nursing care
• Maintain accurate documentation and health records in accordance with standards
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and audits
• Generate reports on nursing metrics and operational performance
• Provide interim coverage during periods when the DON or Nurse Manager is unavailable
• Act as a liaison between the nursing department and facility administration
• Support the DON with strategic nursing initiatives and projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Preferred

Active Minnesota LPN license in good standing

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including long-term care or assisted living
-
Prior charge nurse, unit manager, or supervisory experience

Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills

Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned facilities

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Two or more years of managerial experience in a skilled nursing setting

Experience with PointClickCare
-
Memory care or transitional care unit experience
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS
All Caring Clinical Partners professionals must have the following on file before an assignment begins:

Current, unencumbered Minnesota license or certification in good standing

Background study clearance through the Minnesota Department of Human Services (NETStudy 2.0)

Current TB screening and immunization records
-
Current BLS/CPR certification
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR TERMS

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Caring Clinical Partners or the client facility. You control the manner and means of your professional work.

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own federal and state taxes, professional liability coverage, and license maintenance.

On-call days must be listed by the consultant to be paid.

Lodging may be arranged for assignments far from home.

Either party may end an assignment with 30 days written notice.
